An ultimate girl squad of models join Miami-born body positivity activist Denise Bidot to break the rules of plus-size fashion as they defy every “dress code” in the latest advertising campaign for Simply Be.
The campaign, showcasing the online retailer’s ultra-glam Christmas collection, launched last Friday and was shown during X Factor this weekend, as well as holding key slots such as during C4’s When Harry Met Meghan and Gogglebox, and C4 Dig’s airing of Pitch Perfect.
Over the last year, Simply Be have laid claim to plus-size fashion with their ‘We Are Curves’ campaign, and the latest instalment is no exception.
Shot on location in a grand stately home with extravagant props, models Denise Bidot (size 16), Philomena Kwao (size 18), Jourdan Jerome (size 20) and Natalie Dopson (size 16) put diverse shapes and sizes on show in a full throttle celebration of curves.
Draped in on-trend risqué looks, the four girls prep and party to iconic party anthem ‘Baby’, re-imagined as a cover with fresh energy by Bakermat.
The campaign proves there’s nothing you can’t (or shouldn’t) wear, as fresh faced model Jourdan rocks nothing but a tasselled, black bodysuit with a faux fur coat thrown over.
