Canopy

Reducing the use of ancient and endangered forests in our supply chain

In our partnership with the Canopy Style and Pack 4 Good initiatives, N Brown commits to the removal of the Ancient and Endangered Forests within our supply chains MMCF production process by 2025. With the focus on mapping out our MMCF supply chain and seeking our alternatives where needed.

Textiles 2030

Our commitment towards a circular economy
N Brown is a voluntary signatory of Textile 2030, which was developed by WRAP with a focus on designing for circularity, implementing circular business models and closing the loop on materials. We are committed to a 50% reduction in our aggregate carbon footprint and a 30% reduction in aggregate water footprint by 2030.

Signatories of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative

We continue to be signatories to the the United Nations Global Compact which is the world’s largest corporate social responsibility initiative. This brings companies together to work jointly and align strategies on universal human rights, labour rights, environmental issues and anti-corruption. We submit our Communication on Progress report annually and our ESG Operating Committee meets regularly to drive activities against the Sustainable Development Goals.

Better Cotton

The Better Cotton Initiative
Responsibly sourced products

N Brown takes pride in being a member of Better Cotton, a global initiative focused on enhancing farming practices. Through the mass balance system, Better Cotton allows for the substitution or mixing of conventional cotton, provided it matches the equivalent volumes of Better Cotton sourced. This method broadens the support for farmers worldwide under the Better Cotton framework. To date, we have successfully transitioned 60% of our cotton to adhere to Better Cotton practices, with a commitment to further increase this percentage.

Environmental Protocol

We are committed to becoming a net-zero business by 2040. Under our Environmental Protocol, we have built a guiding framework to support suppliers adhere to our environmental standards and policies, driving the adoption of best industry practices. This framework aids suppliers in measuring and identifying their environmental impacts and encourages efficient resource and energy use.
